ZEN BASEBALLBAT ALBUM ALBUM OUT NOW!
At long last the second album "For Refund Insert Baby" from
Art-Ska Skankers ZEN BASEBALLBAT is finally in the shops on Monday
10th May. Eagle-eyed punters will know that the CD has been available
at the Launch Pad Tour and of course on the ever reliable online
Moon store. ZBB will be releasing a DVD later in the year featuring
their promo videos, live footage of their excellent performance at
last years Moon Ska "Lift Off Into 2004" London all dayer
plus some special extras including artwork from those dry wits and
rascals The Gleavey Twins.
 DUB CITY ROCKERS
American-Jamaican-Columbian (and British) Skanking Hip Hop outfit
DUB CITY ROCKERS have just finished recording 4 tracks in London.
Although there are some guest vocal parts to be finished, one of
the 4 tracks will appear on the forthcoming Moon Ska Europe labels
sampler Vol 3. The band will also be releasing a 12" single
on an established UK Hip Hop label in the summer. When all members
return to the UK in the next few weeks they will start recording
tracks for their debut album to be released on Moon Ska later in
the year.
 SOLABEAT ALLIANCE SCUZZ TV VOTE STUFF AND UP COMING DATES
Fresh from their third week on Scuzz TV's "New
Skids On The Block" (vote number "007" phone vote
number 09014 900352 or text "007" to 88729) programme SBA
announce 4 forthcoming gigs, 3 of which are at festivals. On Sunday
May 16th they turn out in their home town of Salisbury to play at
the Michael Herbert Hall as part of the Salisbury Festival. It's
free entry but you have to have a ticket which are available from
Stand Out Records in Sailisbury (01722 411344). In July the band
play another local gig with B Movie Heroes at the Frome Cheese And
Grain on Saturday 9th July before appearing on Sunday 11th in Hounslow
at the Rifleman at the Mohawk music organised Pretend Riot Fest.
The band will also be appearing at The Levellers crusty Beautiful
Day Festival at Escot Park in Exeter on Saturday August 21st (on
stage in afternoon).....soap not essential for this one!
 SHOOTIN GOON CALL IT A DAY - FAREWELL GIG IN CARDIFF
16TH MAY
One of the UK's leading pioneer Ska-Punk bands SHOOTIN' GOON, are
finally splitting up after months of rumours. The band  now fronted
by Good Clean Fun Records boss Matt (trombone player Tom is the other
partner in GCF) have been together for over 6 years, had over 20
members, including 3 singers!!!....and released three recordings
their debut "Splottside Rocksteady", the Split CD "Big
Up Clash" with LUBBY NUGGET both on Moon Ska Europe and the
Good Clean Fun EP "Left For Dead". The band who have toured
all over the UK including playing on the now legendary and ground
breaking "New Moon Rising Tour" of 2000 even ventured into
mainland Europe when Ska-Punk were really dirty words. The Welsh
Ska-Punkers play their final show on May 16th at Clwb Ifor Bach in
Cardiff. If you are in the area go along and give them a good send
off.
 WHITMORE COME BACK DATES ANNOUNCED
We are still waiting for news of when Salisbury Ska-Punks
WHITMORE will return to playing live. We believe it could be earlier
than expected after nutty bassist Glenn was given some good news
by his specialist, and plans to return to rehearsing in the next
month or so. The bands first come back date will be the Moon Ska
all dayer at the Pitz Club at the Milton Keynes Woughton Centre in
early September. There will be a free downloadable track from their
new album up on this site in the next few weeks.

WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH CHAIRMEN OF THE BORED???
It seems to have been very quiet on the COTB front
recently, however we will reveal shortly what the Rochdale 3 peice
Pop-Punk outfit have been up to and why they have been making several
visits to London recording studios recently. Ben, James and Owen
have been kept very, very busy of late and will soon be filming the
video for their debut single shortly with some very odd guests....more
