WHOSE TRACK IS THE MOST POPULAR OF THE NEW MP3s...THEN?

Well out of the 5 new mp3's on the site recently SOLABEAT ALLIANCE come in first closely followed by Art Skankers ZEN BASEBALLBAT and then in hot pursuit just behind Zen BB, and the biggest surprise is new Moon Ska boys East Anglian Punkers DUMPSTER POP (well done lads!) with GRAVELTRAP and SONIC BOOM SIX in 4th and 5th places respectively.

"Are free mp3's important for promotion" some silly major record corporate types stilll ask... well "Smoke The Roach" by WHITMORE is one of our biggest sellers and we are sure the 45,000 plus free downloads of the bands track "29 Times" helped a little bit!
MP3's were as follows: SOLABEAT ALLIANCE: 'Supersonic', ZEN BASEBALLBAT: 'Masochistic Motown', DUMPSTER POP: 'Sometime Seems', GRAVELTRAP: 'Primal Fear' and SONIC BOOM SIX: 'People Acklike They Don't Know'

A MAJOR REGGAE NAME TO GUEST WITH DUB CITY ROCKERS

Just to stir up the rumour whirlwind around this band we can confirm that a major reggae star who's name shall remain a mystery for now will be guesting on the DUB CITY ROCKERS first single "It Makes Me Wonder"...but here's a clue he recently guested on a BLACK EYED PEAS single and guested on LONG BEACH DUB ALL STAR albums. Meanwhile Jamaican based Dub City Rocker D Dan Cole is putting the finishing touches to a new song from the band featuring a top notch sample from the NY based Ska authentic band The Bluebeats, the new track entitled "It's A Crime" is about the "need" of some dumb animal (humans?!?) to wear dead animal fur just for vanity.

HYPO PYSCHO SINGLE OUT BUT CLUB IS MOVED!!

UK Ska Punks HYPO PSYCHO featuring our very own ZEN BASEBALLBAT brass section released their debut single "Public Enemy No.1" on Monday 12th July. The band have been hovering just outside The Box TV's most wanted Top Ten videos as well as receiving support from Scuzz and now MTV Hits of all people! If you want to go and buy the single it's available on 3 formats:
CD1 - "Public Enemy No.1" and "Don't Try This At Home"
CD2 - "Public Enemy No.1" and "Blissfully Sedated", "Adrenaline Junkie, plus "Public Enemy No.1" video
7" single - "Public enemy No1" and "Bored" (live) this is a limited edition of 2000 signed copies.
Unfortunately Hypo Psycho's residency at the new Blissfully Sedated club in London have been put on hold while club organisers finalise a new venue which will be more Ska-Punker friendly so consequently the SOLABEAT ALLIANCE show will be rescheduled.

WRECKLESS SKA AS MAROON TOWN TEAM UP WITH WRECKLESS CREW

Top London Trad Ska act MAROON TOWN recently laid down the backing tracks for their collaboration single with Urban Pirate Radio favourites East London's very own WRECKLESS CREW. Recent gig goers will have seen the East London spitters guest with Maroon Town and this forthcoming groundbreaking single "Wreckless Ska" is the result of these successful gigs.....keep your eyes peeled....Ska is Dead....yeah whatever ho ho ho!!!

CHAIRMEN OF THE BORED.....WHAT'S UP?

CHAIRMEN OF THE BORED have put recording plans on ice for the moment after vocalist Ben signed a new deal with Channel 4 programme Hollyoaks which will mean it is almost impossible for him to do the band full time over the coming months as his story lines increase in the ever popular UK TV soap opera. Although the band will be performing live gigs and recording some tracks shortly that will be available as mp3 downloads.

THE SELECTER CD'S TO CONTAIN RARE VIDEO FOOTAGE

We can now announce that THE SELECTER albums "Happy", "Hairspray" and "Cruel Brittania" will have added bonus rare video footage as enhanced tracks. Moon Ska even managed to get countryside-phobic bassist Nicky Welsh down to Kent to supervise the goings on. A worried Nick started sneezing and complaining of hay fever within minutes of his train arriving in sunny Kent although we couldn't see much hay or grass (or countryside for that matter) where the studio is based in "downtown" Gravesend!
